KATHMANDU: Nissan’s official distributor for Nepal, Pioneer Moto Corp, is preparing to launch a new SUV in the Nepali market. The company will introduce the new model during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, scheduled to begin on August 11.
The new SUV is expected to be the Nissan Gravity, which is currently sold in India. Built on the CMF-A Plus platform, the SUV will be available in 5-seat and 7-seat configurations. The model is slightly shorter than 4 meters in length.
The Nissan Gravity features a modern exterior design with a new front grille, updated bumper, stylish alloy wheels, and redesigned front styling. The rear section gets new tail lamps with the Nissan logo placed between the lights and Gravity badging below it.

Inside, the SUV comes with an 8-inch infotainment system and a 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster. It also features a wireless charger, push-button start/stop, parking sensors, hill-start assist, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), rear-view camera, and six airbags.
The Gravity is powered by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. The engine produces 76 hp of power and 95 Nm of torque.
The SUV will be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and an Easy Shift automatic transmission option. Nissan claims the automatic version delivers a fuel efficiency of 19.6 km/l, while the manual version offers 19.3 km/l.
