KATHMANDU: Laxmi Motor Corporation has started preparations for commercial production of the new-generation Hyundai Venue in Nepal. The company has successfully completed trial assembly of the SUV using imported CKD kits and is now ready for mass production.
According to company sources, technical testing has been completed and commercial production will begin shortly. The new Venue will be officially launched by Laxmi Intercontinental, Hyundai’s authorized distributor in Nepal, at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.

The second-generation Venue brings major upgrades in design, technology, comfort, and safety. It features a redesigned dashboard with an H-shaped layout, a new three-spoke D-cut steering wheel, improved seats, ambient lighting, and dual 12.3-inch panoramic displays on the top variant.
For better ride quality, the SUV gets MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear suspension. Hyundai has also improved the turning radius, making the Venue easier to drive in urban conditions.

Safety has been significantly enhanced. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol variant is equipped with ADAS, offering 16 advanced driver assistance features, including Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control, High Beam Assist, and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert.
Standard safety equipment includes six airbags, four-wheel disc brakes, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Traction Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), front parking sensors, Auto Hold, and a 360-degree camera.

Internationally, the new Venue is available with 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines. However, the Nepal-assembled model will initially be offered only with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It will also feature three drive modes-Eco, Normal, and Sport and three traction modes-Sand, Mud, and Snow.
Hyundai first introduced the Venue in Nepal in 2019, and the company says around 3,000 units have been sold over the past six years. Pricing for the new model has not been announced, but it is expected to be slightly higher than the outgoing version.
