Tank 300 off-roader gets Hi4-Z powertrain, set to arrive in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Great Wall Motors has opened pre-sales for the refreshed Tank 300 L in China. The updated off-road SUV features a longer wheelbase, revised styling, and two plug-in hybrid powertrains. It will officially launch on July 19.

The Hi4-T variant is priced at around USD 38,200, while the new Hi4-Z starts at around USD 39,700.

The Tank 300 L receives 553 upgrades, including a 3,010 mm wheelbase, a redesigned grille, updated round headlights, and support for 40 accessories such as roof racks and winches.

The SUV measures 4,886 mm in length and offers 235 mm ground clearance with an 800 mm water wading depth, reinforcing its off-road capability.

Inside, it features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch touchscreen running Coffee OS 3, and advanced features such as AI voice control, satellite communication, and off-road route guidance.

The SUV is equipped with 27 sensors, including LiDAR, enabling Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) and other advanced driver assistance features.

Both variants use a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine. The Hi4-T delivers 105 km of electric range and 913 km of combined range. The more powerful Hi4-Z offers 200 km of electric range, 1,122 km of combined range, and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds.

VG Impex, the official distributor of Great Wall Motors in Nepal, has confirmed that the new Tank 300 SUV will arrive in the Nepali market by the end of 2026.
