KATHMANDU: Hyundai has reduced the US price of the 2026 Ioniq 5 N by US$6,300, with the high-performance electric crossover now starting at US$61,500, including destination charges.
Despite the lower price, the 2026 model receives several updates. Hyundai has expanded the N Drift Optimizer from one setting to 10 selectable stages, while also adding an in-cabin camera for the forward attention warning system, auto up/down rear windows and a new Performance Blue Pearl exterior color.
Powertrain specifications remain unchanged. The Ioniq 5 N continues to produce up to 641 hp in N Grin Boost mode and can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 3.25 seconds, delivering performance comparable to many high-end sports cars.
The price reduction comes as Hyundai continues to post strong EV sales. The company sold nearly 21,000 Ioniq 5s during the first half of the year, up 9% from the same period last year, despite slower growth in the wider EV market following the end of US federal EV incentives.
