KATHMANDU : Nepali citizens living abroad can now get their Nepal-issued driving licenses verified through Nepali embassies and missions in their respective countries.
The Department of Consular Services under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has introduced the service to make license verification easier for Nepalis living overseas.
The department said Nepali citizens abroad can now obtain verification of their driving licenses issued by the Government of Nepal through the Nepali diplomatic mission in the country where they are staying.
According to a notice issued by the department, the license verification service will be available through the concerned Nepali mission.
The new arrangement is expected to make the process easier for thousands of Nepalis living abroad, who previously had to rely on procedures in Nepal for license verification.
