KATHMANDU: Aprilia is set to introduce the new SR 175 scooter in the Nepali market soon. Delta Autocorp, the official distributor of the brand in Nepal, is set to launch the SR 175 between March and April.

The SR 175 was unveiled in India around seven months ago. Delta Autocorp is now planning to start its sales in Nepal. The scooter is expected to be priced at around Rs 460,000.

The SR 175 was introduced as a replacement for the SR 160 in the Indian market. The same model will be available in Nepal.

The SR 175 shares its chassis frame and several components with the SR 160. There are no major design changes. Aprilia continues to offer its racing-inspired styling on the new model.

The scooter gets new decals, aggressive racing sport color lines, updated color options, new technical elements, and an updated cockpit layout.

It is powered by a 174.7cc, single-cylinder BS6 engine. The engine produces 13.8 bhp at 7,200 rpm and 14.14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.

Aprilia has retained its racing DNA design and equipped the SR 175 with a 5.5-inch colorful TFT display, similar to the unit seen on the Aprilia Tuono 457.

Delta Autocorp currently offers 125cc, 150cc, and 160cc Aprilia scooters in Nepal and is now set to expand its premium lineup with the new SR 175 in the 175cc segment. The SR 175 comes equipped with a CVT transmission and features modern connectivity through Bluetooth with the Aprilia app.

Its design includes a full LED lighting setup, 14-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tires, and a disc brake with single-channel ABS for safety. The scooter also offers a comfortable ride with telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock suspension.
