KATHMANDU : Nepal’s two major auto shows, scheduled for August and September, are expected to bring a wave of new two-wheelers. At least eight new motorcycles and scooters are set to make their debut at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo and the NADA Auto Show.
The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo will begin on August 11, while the NADA Auto Show will start on August 25.
Based on information available so far, several distributors are preparing to unveil new models at the two events. These include Nepal’s own Yatri P2 electric scooter, the Hero VIDA electric scooter, TVS RTX 300, Yamaha XSR155, Ultraviolette X47, Moto Morini Alltrhike 250, and two new Bajaj Chetak variants, the 2501 and 3503.
More launches are also expected, although some brands have not yet revealed their plans.
One of the biggest highlights at the NAIMA Expo will be the Yatri P2, the first electric scooter designed and built in Nepal. The scooter has been developed through a partnership between Yatri Motorcycles and Sipradi Trading. With demand for electric scooters continuing to grow, the P2 is expected to attract strong interest.
Ultraviolette will introduce its premium electric motorcycle, the X47, at the same event. The bike will be launched by Vaidya’s Organization, the company’s official distributor in Nepal.
The distributor is also expected to unveil the Moto Morini Alltrhike 250, a new 250 cc adventure motorcycle.
CG Motors is preparing to introduce the Hero VIDA electric scooter, marking the entry of Hero MotoCorp’s EV brand into Nepal’s electric two-wheeler market. The scooter is also expected to debut at the NAIMA Expo.
Jagdamba Motors will launch the TVS RTX 300, TVS Motor Company’s first adventure motorcycle. The model has already generated interest in international markets and will now make its way to Nepal.
At the NADA Auto Show, MAW Rides is expected to launch the Yamaha XSR155. The retro-styled motorcycle combines classic design with modern technology and has been one of Yamaha’s most anticipated models in Nepal.
Meanwhile, Hansraj Hulaschand & Co., the official distributor of Bajaj, will expand its electric scooter lineup by introducing the Bajaj Chetak 2501 and Chetak 3503. The company currently sells the Chetak 3501 in Nepal.
Several other two-wheeler brands will also participate in both auto shows. However, they have not yet officially announced the new models they plan to launch.
With two major auto shows taking place just two weeks apart, this year’s events are expected to showcase the latest electric mobility technologies, premium motorcycles, and new product launches. Two-wheelers are likely to be one of the biggest attractions at both exhibitions.
