KATHMANDU: Hero MotoCorp has launched its electric mobility brand, VIDA, in Nepal through its official distributor, CG Motors.  The company has introduced the VIDA V2 electric scooter and the VIDA Dirt-E K3 electric bike. The new models give buyers more choices as demand for electric two-wheelers continues to rise.

The VIDA V2 is available with three battery options: 2.2 kWh, 3.44 kWh, and 3.94 kWh. According to IDC testing, the scooter delivers a claimed range of 94 km, 143 km, and 165 km, depending on the variant.

The base model comes with two riding modes. It also gets a 7-inch TFT display, keyless operation, LED lighting, and regenerative braking. The VIDA V2 will compete with models such as the Ather, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, TVS Orbiter, and several Chinese electric scooters.

Hero also launched the VIDA Dirt-E K3, an electric bike designed for children aged 4 to 10 years.

The bike features an adjustable chassis. Riders can change the wheelbase, handlebar height, and seat height to match the child’s size. It can be set up in small, medium, or large configurations.

The Dirt-E K3 weighs only 22 kg, making it easy for young riders to handle.

For safety, Hero has added a handlebar chest pad, magnetic kill switch, rear motor cover, and removable footpegs with walk-assist. The standard bike comes with a rear brake. Buyers can also add a front brake, larger tires, suspension, and road-spec tires as optional accessories.

The Dirt-E K3 is powered by a 500 W electric motor and a 360 Wh removable lithium-ion battery. It offers Low, Medium, and High riding modes for different riding conditions and skill levels.
