KATHMANDU: Hero MotoCorp has introduced the Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition in India. The new model comes with a sharper LED headlight and a fresh light gray color with neon graphics, giving it a bold streetfighter look.

The key highlight of this edition is its first-in-segment features. The bike now gets ride-by-wire and cruise control, making it the first 160cc motorcycle in India to offer these technologies.

It also features a color LCD console and three ride modes Rain, Road and Sport, adding more comfort and refinement for daily and highway rides.

The motorcycle continues with the familiar 163.2cc, air and oil-cooled engine producing 16.9PS and 14.6Nm, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Hero claims the bike can go from 0-60 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The hardware setup remains the same with KYB USD forks, a monoshock and dual-channel ABS.

The Combat Edition is expected to be priced slightly above the standard model, which costs 129,615 Indian rupees (ex-showroom), With these updates, Hero aims to take on rivals such as the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Yamaha FZ-X and Bajaj Pulsar N160.
