KATHMANDU: Honda has entered the European electric motorcycle market with the launch of its first electric naked bike, the Honda WN7. The model marks a key step in Honda’s plan to make all its motorcycles carbon-neutral by the 2040s.

The WN7 is based on the EV Fun Concept that was shown at EICMA 2024 in Milan. It is Honda’s first fixed-battery electric motorcycle in the “Fun” category. The bike is designed for riders who want performance as well as sustainable mobility.

The WN7 offers a range of more than 130 km on a single charge. Its lithium-ion battery supports CCS2 fast charging, which charges from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes. With home charging, the battery can be fully charged in less than three hours.

Honda says the WN7 performs like a 600cc petrol motorcycle. In terms of torque, it even matches 1000cc bikes. This gives the rider quick acceleration and a powerful ride.

The name WN7 has meaning. “W” stands for “Be the Wind,” “N” for “Naked” and “7” for its output class.

The design of the WN7 is slim and modern. A 5-inch TFT display is fitted, which connects with Honda RoadSync. Riders can access navigation, calls and notifications directly on the screen.
