KATHMANDU: A new 16-seater electric van from King Long has been launched in the Nepali market. Official distributor CG Motors has started sales of the new model, which comes with modern technology and strong performance.
The company has priced the new electric van at Rs 7.25 million. It is expected to set a new benchmark in Nepal’s commercial vehicle segment.
The van is powered by a 75.41 kWh Blade battery, claimed to be the first in its segment. The battery is designed to offer high safety, long life, and dependable driving range for daily operations.
It is equipped with a 120 kW electric motor. The spacious and comfortable cabin is aimed at improving passenger comfort during travel. CG Motors is offering a 7-year or 400,000 km warranty on the motor and battery.
According to the company, the van has been introduced to meet Nepal’s growing demand for eco-friendly, safe, high-capacity, and cost-effective transport solutions.
More than 5,000 King Long vehicles have already been sold in Nepal. CG Motors currently provides support through 260 charging stations, 20 service centers, and 14 dealer networks across the country.
King Long was established in 1988 in Xiamen, China. The company has built a strong global presence in buses, coaches, and commercial vans over the past three decades.
