KATHMANDU: CG Motors, the authorized distributor of Hero motorcycles in Nepal, has launched the new Hero Xtreme 160R BS6 OBD2 variant in the Nepali market.

The price of the new dual-channel ABS variant is set at Rs 419,900. The earlier BS6 FI model with single-channel ABS continues to be available at Rs 398,900.

The Xtreme 160R BS6 OBD2 is powered by a 163.2cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve, air- and oil-cooled fuel-injected engine. It produces 16.9 PS of power and 14.6 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The company claims it can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 4.4 seconds, making it one of the fastest bikes in the 160cc segment.

The key update in this variant is the addition of dual-channel ABS, replacing the previous single-channel system. Other features include four-valve technology, smart sensor technology, an integrated engine start/stop and kill switch, Bluetooth connectivity, side-stand engine cut-off, hazard warning lights, a USB charging port, an adjustable brightness inverted LCD display, and full LED lighting.

On the hardware side, the motorcycle comes with KYB USD front forks and a 7-step adjustable rear mono-shock.

It also features alloy wheels with tubeless tires, petal-type dual disc brakes, a sporty belly pan exhaust, dual-channel ABS, and a split-seat design.
