KATHMANDU: Mahindra & Mahindra has unveiled two new concept models, the Vision T and the Vision SXT at an event in Mumbai.
Both concepts showcase a fresh design language that draws inspiration from the Thar.e Concept revealed earlier. The Vision T is designed as an off-road SUV, while the Vision SXT takes shape as a pickup version of the same.

Both vehicles are built on Mahindra’s new NU.IQ platform. This versatile architecture supports vehicles ranging from under 4 meters to over 4.3 meters in length. Despite its compact footprint, it offers one of the largest cabin spaces in its category.
The platform also supports multiple body styles and can be configured for left-hand and right-hand drive markets. With a wheelbase of 2,665 mm and optimized overhangs, it allows flexibility for both urban and rugged use.
The design of the Vision T and Vision SXT reflects elements of the Thar.e. The Vision T comes with a full Vision SXTwagon-style body, while the Vision SXT features a truck-like cabin with the spare wheel mounted on the deck. Both carry a bold and muscular appearance, though the production versions are expected to have more practical styling.

Mahindra has not shared details about the powertrain yet. However, the NU.IQ platform is capable of housing both internal combustion engines and electric setups. Its flat floor makes it suitable for battery integration, while also leaving space for conventional engine layouts.
With these new concepts, Mahindra continues to explore new directions for its future SUVs, blending rugged character with modern design and flexible technology.
