KATHMANDU: Maruti Suzuki has launched its new midsize SUV, the Victoris, in India at a starting price of 1.05 million Indian rupees lakh (ex-showroom).
Prices go up to 1.999 million Indian rupees for the top variant. Bookings opened on September 3. The Victoris rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor and Honda Elevate.
It has earned a 5-star safety rating from both Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP, scoring 33.72/34 for adult safety and 41/49 for child protection.
The SUV offers a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine, a 1.5-litre strong-hybrid and a CNG option with underbody tanks. Gearbox choices include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and an eCVT for the strong-hybrid. All-wheel drive is available on select trims.

Design highlights include slim LED headlamps with DRLs, black body cladding, silver skid plates and 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, it gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an Infinity by Harman sound system with Dolby Atmos, ventilated front seats, an 8-way powered driver’s seat, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless charger, powered tailgate and a 10.25-inch digital cluster with a heads-up display.
Safety features include Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill-hold assist, a 360-degree camera and TPMS.
