KATHMANDU: The High Court Patan has dismissed a writ petition filed against the recently concluded election of the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, clearing the way for the swearing-in of the newly elected Executive Committee.
NADA informed that the petition challenging the election process was rejected by the court on Wednesday, removing the legal uncertainty surrounding the association’s new leadership.
Following the filing of the writ earlier, the association had temporarily postponed the swearing-in ceremony, stating that the decision was taken to respect the ongoing judicial proceedings and uphold the rule of law.
With the court’s verdict now in place, NADA said the legal obstacle has been resolved and preparations for the swearing-in ceremony will move forward in accordance with the association’s rules and established procedures. The date for the ceremony is expected to be announced soon.
The association stated that the ruling has brought clarity to the matter and will allow the organization to move ahead with stability and unity.
