Nepal becomes first international market for Leapmotor B10

KATHMANDU: Nepal has become the first international market for Leapmotor’s B10 electric SUV.

The smaller sibling of the popular Leapmotor C10 SUV was unveiled amid a ceremony in Kathmandu on Wednesday by Shangrila Motors, the authorized distributor of Leapmotor in Nepal.

Leapmotor, which is backed by the European automobile giant Stellantis Group, is starting European sales of the B10 next month.“We are launching the B10 SUV in Nepal ahead of other markets because of the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo,” said Hemant Golchha, Managing Director of Shangrila Motors.

Leapmotor B10 offers a claimed range of 460 kilometres in urban areas.

Although the company has revealed full specifications of the vehicle, the price is yet to be announced. The price will be revealed during the Nepal Mobility Expo that starts on August 6, according to Golchha.

The B10 comes with a 67.1 kWh LFP battery that supports up to 168 kW DC fast-charging. The SUV is powered by a 160 kW motor that delivers a peak torque of 240 Nm. Its rear-wheel drive system also enhances its performance.

The B10 is well-suited for urban and highway use. It is 4,515 mm long, 1,885 mm wide and 1,655 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,735 mm.

Leapmotor B10 offers a claimed range of 460 kilometres in urban areas. The B10 also features Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) capabilities along with several other safety features.
