KATHMANDU: The Dhulikhel-Khawaa road section of the Araniko Highway will remain closed during night hours for two weeks due to road upgrading and blacktopping work.
The Road Division Office Bhaktapur issued a notice stating that traffic restrictions will be implemented from March 21 to April 3 to allow construction work to proceed on schedule.
According to the office, large four-wheel vehicles, including buses, will not be allowed to operate on the section from 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM during the restriction period.
Similarly, tipper trucks and cargo trucks, including those with permits, will be completely restricted for 24 hours on this road segment.
The office said the restriction has been introduced to ensure the road improvement and blacktopping work is completed on time and to reduce disruption caused by moving vehicles.
Authorities have requested motorists to use alternative routes and check travel updates before starting their journey during the construction period.
