PM Oli inaugurates NADA Auto Show 2025, showcases flying car and humanoid robot

KATHMANDU: The 7th edition of the NADA Auto Show 2025 has officially begun at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli inaugurated the event on Tuesday, marking the first time a Prime Minister has opened the auto show.

Speaking at the inauguration, PM Oli said there is no reason for automobile business owners to be dissatisfied at present. He noted that the budget has not altered tax rates and that the monetary policy has also supported the auto sector.

This year’s edition features several new vehicles, with the main attractions being a flying car and a humanoid robot. Both have been introduced in Nepal for the first time by Deepal, the official distributor of Changan.

The flying car and the robot are on display at the exhibition, which is seen as a milestone for Nepal’s growing technology market. The humanoid the robot is capable of walking and running like a human, identifying objects, speaking and responding to questions.
