Pulsar 150 drives Bajaj’s motorcycle import surge in 2025

KATHMANDU: Bajaj Auto recorded a strong growth in motorcycle imports in Nepal in 2025, driven by rising market demand. Hansraj Hulaschand & Company, the authorized distributor of Bajaj motorcycles in Nepal, imported 44,687 units in 2025, marking a 78.48 percent increase compared to the previous year.

The figure is up by 19,649 units from 2024, when the company imported 25,038 motorcycles. With this growth, Bajaj emerged as the largest motorcycle importer in Nepal in 2025.

The Pulsar 150 remained Bajaj’s top-selling model in Nepal. A total of 20,784 units were imported during the year, accounting for 46.51 percent of Bajaj’s total imports.

Other Pulsar models also saw steady volumes. The Pulsar N150 recorded imports of 2,016 units, while the N160 stood at 1,404 units. The Pulsar 160 NS accounted for 624 units, and the Pulsar 200 NS reached 1,962 units. The Pulsar 220F continued to be popular, with 7,808 units imported.

In the higher-capacity segment, the Pulsar NS400 and Pulsar N250 recorded 156 units each. The Dominar 400 saw imports of 198 units, while the Dominar 250 recorded zero imports in 2025.

Bajaj also strengthened its presence in the cruiser segment. The Avenger 160 and Avenger 220 recorded imports of 480 units and 576 units, respectively.

In the commuter segment, the Discover 125 recorded 864 units. The NS125 and N125 accounted for 1,056 units and 1,176 units, respectively. The Pulsar 125 saw imports of 1,404 units. Bajaj’s lowest-capacity motorcycle, the Platina, recorded 2,709 units.

The data reflects Bajaj’s strong market position in Nepal in 2025, supported by consistent demand across commuter, sports, and cruiser segments.
