KATHMANDU: Lumbini Lions captain Rohit Kumar Poudel has been named Player of the Tournament at the Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2. He received a Jaecoo J5 car as part of the award.
Poudel played a key role in Lumbini Lions’ title-winning campaign, guiding the team from the bottom of the points table last season to champions this year. He scored 276 runs in nine innings, finishing as the highest run-scorer of the tournament.
Along with the Player of the Tournament honor, Poudel also received a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle for his batting performance.
Lumbini Lions bowler Sher Malla was also recognized, receiving a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle after taking 17 wickets across the tournament.
