KATHMANDU: Czech carmaker Skoda Auto has revealed its new compact electric SUV, the Skoda Epiq. The upcoming EV is expected to launch in the European market within the next few months.
With its compact dimensions and practical design, the Epiq looks suitable for Nepal’s road conditions. The SUV measures 4,171 mm in length, 1,798 mm in width, and 1,581 mm in height. It has been designed using Skoda’s new “Modern Solid” design language.
At the front, the Epiq gets a glossy black Tech-Deck face, slim T-shaped LED daytime running lights, chunky wheel arches, and stylish alloy wheels. The SUV has a drag coefficient of 0.275 Cd and carries a sharp-looking design.

The Epiq also offers a 25-liter front trunk, while the rear boot space stands at 475 liters. The five-seat cabin follows a minimalist design approach and comes loaded with features.
Inside, the SUV gets a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 5-inch driver information display. Physical buttons are retained for key functions. Other features include a wireless charger with cooling support, dual-zone climate control, heated seats, and ventilated front seats.
The SUV also supports connected car technology through the MySkoda app.
According to Skoda, more than 34 kg of recycled materials have been used in the Epiq. Staying true to the brand’s “Simply Clever” philosophy, the SUV includes smart storage spaces for umbrellas, charging cables, bags, and cup holders.

The Epiq will be available with two battery options. The city-focused version gets a 37 kWh LFP battery pack paired with a 98 kW motor. It offers a claimed range of around 300 km on a single charge.
For longer highway journeys, Skoda will offer a 52 kWh NMC battery pack with a larger 150 kW electric motor. This version is expected to deliver around 425 km of range.
The SUV will also come with a long list of ADAS safety features and driver assistance technologies. All variants support 11 kW AC charging.
Skoda has not confirmed whether the Epiq will launch in Nepal. However, its compact size, practical cabin, and battery options make it a promising EV for the Nepali market.
