KATHMANDU: Tata Group is considering expanding its electric vehicle manufacturing footprint in Uttar Pradesh, in line with the state’s EV subsidy policy.

Discussions with the state government covered the introduction of new EV models, electric bus deployment and the development of a wider EV ecosystem. The company is also exploring the possibility of setting up dedicated EV manufacturing facilities.

To support clean mobility, Tata Group is developing two 50 MW solar power plants in Bundelkhand and Prayagraj. Rooftop solar projects are being expanded across 50 districts, which could support future EV charging needs.

The group is also constructing new commercial buildings in Noida, with phased completion planned by December 2026. Uttar Pradesh continues to position itself as a key destination for EV and automotive investments.
