KATHMANDU: Vehicular movement has been affected in the Daunne section of the Narayanghat-Butwal road due to cold wave and frost. The road has become slippery, creating problems for vehicles moving up and down the Daunne area.

Vehicles have remained stuck since Monday.

The ADB Project Directorate under the Department of Roads said that traffic problems may continue as culvert construction and road slope works are ongoing at some locations. Due to this, one-way traffic operation has been enforced in parts of the road section.

The project has requested travelers to get updated and accurate information about road conditions before traveling through the Daunne section. It has also urged road users to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience.

According to the project, vehicles using the East-West Highway can reach Butwal via the Narayanghat-Mugling-Pokhara-Syangja-Palpa route.

Similarly, vehicles traveling between Kathmandu and Bardaghat West can use the Kathmandu-Mugling-Pokhara road.

For two-wheelers and four-wheelers, the Dumkibas-Jyamire-Dandachok-Damar-Bhutaha road has been suggested as an alternative route.
