Tunland G7 pickup sales start with price and feature details announced

KATHMANDU: Foton has officially begun the sale of its updated pickup model, the Tunland G7, in Nepal. The vehicle is priced between Rs 5.199 million and Rs 7.499 million and is available in five different variants.

The Tunland G7 is the upgraded version of the previously sold Tunland pickup, which was marketed under the same brand in Nepal. The company states that the new model has been specifically developed for off-road conditions.

The vehicle is equipped with a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine with a displacement of 1968 cc. It delivers 160 hp and produces 390 Nm of torque. It includes a 4WD system and has a payload capacity of 990 kg.

Prior to the market launch, the Tunland G7 was tested over 15,000 km in various terrains across Nepal. Test locations included Manang, Mustang, Ilam, Baglung and Jumla.

According to MAW Vriddhi Managing Director Vivek Shikariya, the vehicle was introduced after extensive testing, with an aim to ensure reliable performance and offer post sales service support.

The pickup includes several functional features such as ventilated seats, a 12.3 inch infotainment display, six airbags and a sunroof. Additional systems include hill hold control, traction control and a 360-degree camera to assist with off-road navigation.

The Tunland G7 is being introduced under the slogan “Built for Himalayas.”
