KATHMANDU: Cimex Inc., the authorized distributor of BYD in Nepal, has launched the all new BYD Dolphin 2025. The new model comes with the world’s first Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Low Voltage Battery (LVB), a major upgrade in EV battery technology.
This advanced battery is six times lighter, five times more efficient in self-discharge and offers a lifespan of up to 15 years. It is backed by a 6 year or 150,000 km warranty.
The 2025 Dolphin retains its 340 km WLTP range. It has fast charging capability, charging from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes. It now features upgraded suspension, brighter LED headlights, enhanced air conditioning and smart features like Mobile NFC Key and Bluetooth Key.
So far, over 2,490 units have been sold in Nepal, making the Dolphin the top selling electric hatchback in the country. Despite the upgrades, the price remains unchanged at Rs 4.115 million.
Globally, BYD has also celebrated a major milestone with 830,000 Dolphin units delivered.
The new 2025 Dolphin is now available at all BYD showrooms and dealerships across Nepal.
