Kama electric pickup imports reach 344 units in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Kama electric pickup trucks are steadily gaining traction in Nepal’s commercial EV segment, particularly for urban cargo transportation. The brand’s authorized distributor, Mega Business Group, has imported a total of 344 units of Kama electric pickup trucks so far, including 34 units in January 2026 alone.

The Kama EW-1 electric pickup truck is currently available in Nepal with two battery options. Equipped with CATL battery technology, the pickup can also be purchased in a container configuration depending on business requirements, making it suitable for logistics and goods transport operations.

Mega Business Group is offering the electric pickup with 38 kWh and 42 kWh battery options. The price difference between the two variants is Rs 49,000. The 38 kWh variant is priced at Rs 2.57 million, while the larger 42 kWh battery variant costs Rs 2.619 million.

In terms of performance, the Kama electric pickup truck is powered by a 70 kW electric motor. It offers a claimed driving range of up to 300 kilometers on a single charge and has a payload capacity of up to 2,000 kg, positioning it as a practical option for small and medium-sized businesses.

For after-sales assurance, the company provides a battery warranty of 5 years or 200,000 kilometers (whichever comes first). The electric motor is covered by a 3-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty (whichever comes first).
