KATHMANDU: Mahindra has confirmed plans to introduce a new born-electric SUV in 2027, currently codenamed B07. The upcoming model will be the production version of the BE.07 concept that was first showcased in 2022.

However, the company has indicated that the final production model is unlikely to carry the B07 name.

Speaking about the upcoming EV, Executive Director at Mahindra & Mahindra, stated that the B07 is expected to arrive sometime in calendar year 2027 and is projected to become a major volume driver for the brand alongside its existing electric lineup.

Once launched, the new SUV will become Mahindra’s fourth born-electric model after the BE 6, XEV 9e, and XEV 9S. The B07 will be underpinned by Mahindra’s dedicated INGLO skateboard platform, which has been developed specifically for next-generation electric vehicles.

The BE.07 concept previewed a futuristic design language featuring sharp body lines, wide wheel arches, and distinctive C-shaped LED DRLs and taillights similar to those seen on the BE 6. The production version is expected to retain most of these modern styling elements while being adapted for mass production.
