KATHMANDU: Porsche Cayenne Electric lineup has expanded with the introduction of the new Cayenne S, positioned between the base variant and the flagship Turbo model.
The new variant follows a similar lineup strategy used in the Porsche Macan Electric range. Porsche first introduced the base and Turbo versions in November, and the Cayenne S, now fills the gap with a balance of performance and price.
The Cayenne S Electric features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 536 horsepower, which increases to 657 hp with launch control. The SUV accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 155 mph.

Power comes from a 113 kWh battery pack that supports 400 kW DC fast charging. Under suitable charging conditions, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in less than 16 minutes. The DC fast-charging port is located on the driver’s side, while the passenger-side port supports AC charging.
Porsche has introduced subtle design updates to distinguish the Porsche Cayenne S Electric from other variants, including revised front and rear fascia with elements finished in Volcano Gray Metallic.

The SUV also comes with several performance-focused features such as Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) to improve handling, the Active Ride suspension system for better ride control, ceramic-composite brakes for enhanced stopping performance, and the Porsche Sport Chrono Package, which includes a push-to-pass function for temporary power boost.
The Sport Chrono Package enables a push-to-pass boost that adds 120 hp for 10 seconds. Porsche has also included a Track mode, although it is unlikely to be widely used on a large electric SUV.

A new Interior Style Package debuts with the Cayenne S, featuring a black and green two-tone cabin designed to match the Mystic Green exterior color. Green accents extend to the doors, dashboard, and steering wheel.
In the United States, the electric Cayenne S is priced at $128,650.
