KATHMANDU: Skoda has launched the updated Kushaq facelift in the Indian market, with prices starting at 1.069 million Indian rupees (ex-showroom). The SUV is available in five variants: Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo.
The facelift brings notable design updates. At the front, the Kushaq gets a redesigned grille with a segmented LED light bar, flanked by slimmer LED headlights. The bumper has also been revised with a new skid plate. At the rear, it features connected LED taillights with illuminated ‘Skoda’ lettering.

Inside, the SUV comes equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Google Gemini AI assistant and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. It also offers rear seats with a massage function.
Other features include a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, ventilated and power-adjustable front seats, front parking sensors, automatic climate control, wireless charger, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Under the hood, the Kushaq facelift continues with the existing engine options. The 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a new 8-speed automatic transmission. Higher variants are powered by a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The Kushaq competes in the segment with models like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Tata Sierra, Maruti Grand Vitara and Honda Elevate.
However, the facelift still misses some modern features such as ADAS, 360-degree camera and a powered tailgate. The Skoda Kushaq is a popular premium compact SUV in Nepal, distributed by MAW Skoda.
