KATHMANDU: Rolls-Royce has revealed a new ultra-exclusive electric model, the ‘Project Nightingale’, marking the debut of its Coachbuild Collection.

The fully electric two-door convertible will be limited to just 100 units, with buyers personally selected by the company.

Positioned as a bespoke luxury offering, the Nightingale measures 5.76 meters in length, similar to the Rolls-Royce Phantom but features a strictly two-seat layout.

Its design draws inspiration from luxury yachts, highlighted by a long rear section, a raked windshield, and large 24-inch directional wheels styled to resemble propellers.

At the front, the signature Pantheon grille is crafted from a single block of stainless steel, paired with slim vertical LED headlights. Polished metal elements run along the body, visually connecting the front and rear lighting.

The absence of exhaust pipes allows for a cleaner aerodynamic design, with airflow managed through an integrated diffuser instead of a traditional spoiler.

Inside, the cabin focuses on craftsmanship and exclusivity. It features a two-seat layout with sculpted design elements and a movable armrest that reveals a rotary controller inspired by the Spirit of Ecstasy.

A key highlight is the “Starlight Breeze” headliner, made up of over 10,000 fiber-optic lights arranged based on the sound pattern of a nightingale’s song.

The model is built on the brand’s “Architecture of Luxury” aluminum platform and shares its electric powertrain with the Rolls-Royce Spectre. However, detailed performance specifications have not yet been disclosed.

Production will be capped at 100 units, with deliveries expected to begin in 2028. The starting price is estimated at around $9.5 million, excluding customization options, which are likely to increase the final cost significantly.

Along with the vehicle, selected owners will gain access to exclusive design experiences, development insights, and curated global events under Rolls-Royce’s Coach build program.
