KATHMANDU: Ride-sharing platform Pathao has launched helicopter booking service in Nepal through its mobile app and website.
The company introduced the new ‘Pathao Heli’ service in partnership with Simrik Air. Users can now book helicopter flights directly from the Pathao app or through the Pathao Heli website with transparent pricing.
According to the company, helicopter services will be available for destinations including Muktinath, Gosaikunda, Everest Base Camp, and Annapurna Base Camp.
A helicopter can accommodate four to five passengers at a time. Pathao says the service targets religious travelers, tourists, families, and couples looking for quick travel to popular destinations.
Pathao Nepal Managing Director Yashu Thakali said the company aims to expand Nepal’s digital economy by integrating mobility, parcel delivery, food delivery, and e-commerce services into one platform.
The company also said the new service has been launched considering Nepal Tourism Year 2028 announced by the government.
