KATHMANDU: Harley-Davidson is preparing to launch the X350T in India, a smaller-engined version of the X440T. The motorcycle has been spotted without camouflage, and a launch is expected in the coming weeks.
The move follows India’s GST 2.0 changes, which lower the tax on motorcycles up to 350 cc. Many manufacturers are now bringing their bigger-engined models down to 350 cc.
The X350T carries its new name on the fuel tank and comes in a new orange color with updated graphics. The design, frame and styling are largely the same as the X440T. The one confirmed change is an electric throttle body.
Official specifications have not been announced. The engine is expected to make around 25 hp and 35 Nm, but these figures are speculative. The X440T makes 27 hp and 38 Nm from its 440cc engine.
Features are expected to remain the same, including a TFT display, dual-channel ABS, USD front forks and all-LED lighting.
The X350T is expected to be priced below the X440T, which costs 286,000 Indian rupees (ex-showroom). Color options are expected to be black, red, orange and military green. Harley-Davidson has not yet announced a launch date.
