KATHMANDU: Austrian two-wheeler maker KTM has introduced a new bike in the 160cc segment, the Duke 160, in India.

Priced at 185,000 Indian rupees (ex-showroom), the new model comes with the most powerful engine and top-class features in its segment, according to the company.

The 160 Duke is powered by a 164.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 19 horsepower at 9,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. Built on a split-trellis frame with a naked streetfighter design, the 160 Duke bears a strong resemblance to the 390 Duke. It features a 5-inch digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, a headlight design similar to the 390 Duke and a full LED lighting setup.

Weighing just 147 kg, the 160 Duke comes equipped with dual disc brakes, ABS, 17-inch alloy wheels, WP Apex front forks and a monoshock suspension. The motorcycle is available in three color options.

Hansraj Hulaschand & Company is the authorized distributor for KTM in Nepal. Since most of the KTM models available in India are launched in Nepal, the 160 Duke is certain to arrive in Nepal, sooner or later.

The company recently showcased the entire KTM lineup at the recently held NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo.
