KATHMANDU: Bajaj Chetak has expanded its electric scooter lineup in Nepal with two new models, the Chetak C2501 and Chetak C3503.
Hansraj Hulaschand & Co, the authorized distributor of Bajaj Chetak in Nepal, has started sales of both models in the Nepali market.
The Chetak C2501 is priced at Rs 281,900, while the Chetak C3503 costs Rs 339,900. The company previously offered the Chetak C3501 in Nepal.
Chetak C2501
The C2501 is positioned as the most affordable model in the Chetak lineup. It comes with a 2.5 kWh battery and offers a claimed range of 113 km on a single charge.
The scooter has a top speed of 60 km/h. Bajaj says it can be fully charged in less than four hours.
The C2501 weighs 107 kg and offers 25 liters of under-seat storage. It comes with LED lighting, a flat floorboard and a U-shaped LED tail lamp.
Other features include a color LCD instrument console, Bluetooth connectivity and a USB charging port. The scooter also gets reverse, Eco and Sport riding modes, along with Hill Hold Assist. Some of these features may require the optional TecPac, depending on the market configuration.
Chetak C3503
The C3503 is positioned as a more premium offering. It is equipped with a 3.5 kWh lithium-ion battery and has an IDC-certified range of 151 km on a single charge.
The scooter has a top speed of 70 km/h. It also offers 35 liters of under-seat storage.
The C3503 features a color LCD display, full-metal body and LED lighting. It also comes with Bluetooth connectivity, call and notification alerts, music controls and a reverse mode.
The scooter further gets Eco and Sport riding modes, Hill Hold Assist and a combined braking system. Bajaj’s latest specifications confirm the C3503’s 151 km range and 70 km/h top speed.
