KATHMANDU: Bajaj Auto has updated its electric scooter lineup with the launch of the 2026 Chetak range in India. The update brings better performance, faster charging and a few feature upgrades across the lineup.

The company has refreshed its existing 25, 30 and 35 series and introduced a new ā€œCā€ naming structure for clearer positioning. The lineup is now divided into C2501 as the entry-level model, C3001 as the mid-range option and C3501 as the premium variant.

The 3501 series also gets additional 02 and 03 variants, offering more choices to buyers.

Bajaj has increased the top speed across most variants. The C2501 now reaches 60 km/h, up from 55 km/h. The C3001 and C3503 now offer 70 km/h, compared to 63 km/h earlier. Similarly, the C3501 and C3502 can now reach 80 km/h, up from 73 km/h.

The top-spec C3501 also gets a slight power boost. Motor output has been increased from 4.5 kW to 4.8 kW, which should improve acceleration and overall ride response.

Charging time has also improved in the mid-range model. The C3001 now takes 2 hours 55 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent, down from 3 hours 50 minutes earlier.

Feature updates include the addition of Eco and Sport riding modes, along with Hill Hold Assist. Higher variants now support OTA updates and come with Google Maps integration, replacing the older navigation system. Other features remain unchanged.
