KATHMANDU: The price of the Bajaj Chetak 3501 electric scooter has increased once again in Nepal, taking its total price hike over the past two months to Rs. 40,000.
Hansraj Hulaschand & Co., the authorised distributor of Bajaj in Nepal, has increased the price of the Chetak 3501 by Rs. 15,000. The scooter is now priced at Rs. 364,900.
The Chetak was launched in Nepal in mid-July 2025 at Rs. 324,900. Bajaj first increased the price by Rs. 25,000 two months ago and has now announced another Rs. 15,000 hike.
The Bajaj Chetak 3501 is powered by a 4.2 kW electric motor paired with a 3.5 kWh battery pack. The company claims a range of up to 153 km on a full charge.
Using a fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in around three hours. The scooter has a top speed of 73 km/h.
Built with an all-metal body, the Chetak features a 5-inch TFT touchscreen display, LED lighting, smartphone connectivity, navigation, music and call controls, real-time vehicle information, document access, geofencing, accident detection, anti-theft protection, over-the-air updates, ride modes, hill hold assist, reverse mode, disc brakes, alloy wheels and 35 litres of under-seat storage.
