Batas MAW expands Volvo Eicher network with new 3S facility in Itahari

KATHMANDU: Batas MAW Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. has expanded its Volvo Eicher network with the inauguration of a new 3S (Sales, Service and Spares) facility in Itahari.

The new outlet is located at Titriban, Ramdhuni Municipality-4, Sunsari, along a key commercial corridor of Eastern Nepal.

The facility was officially inaugurated on February 4, 2026. The event was attended by Tara Thapa, Deputy Mayor of Ramdhuni Municipality; Vishnu Kumar Agarwal, Chairman of MAW Group; Shanta Raj Batas, Managing Director of Batas MAW Commercial Vehicles; and Aman Arora, Senior Vice President & Head of International Business at VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV).

Representatives from CNI, FNCCI, automobile associations, banks, and customers were also present.

According to the company, the new 3S center is designed to strengthen sales and after-sales support for Eicher trucks and buses in Eastern Nepal.

It is equipped with trained technicians, modern diagnostic tools, and a fully stocked spare parts section. The setup aims to reduce vehicle downtime and improve service turnaround time.

Hemant Puranik, Vice President of MAW Enterprises, said the new facility marks an important step in expanding the brand’s presence in the region. He added that the company remains focused on delivering professional service and a better ownership experience.

Deputy Mayor Tara Thapa stated that the new dealership will support local economic growth. She highlighted its potential to create employment and encourage skill development in the region.

Speaking at the event, Vishnu Kumar Agarwal said, “This new 3S facility in Itahari reflects our long-term vision of building a strong and reliable commercial vehicle network across Nepal. We are investing in modern infrastructure, skilled manpower, and customer-focused systems to deliver better service quality and higher vehicle uptime for our customers in Eastern Nepal.”

Aman Arora of VECV highlighted the importance of after-sales service and customer proximity in Nepal. He also shared updates about the Volvo-Eicher joint venture and upcoming product offerings, including the BS6 range and the Pro X series.

Shanta Raj Batas concluded that the new 3S facility will help customer’s access quality products, reliable service, and genuine spare parts under one roof.

With this addition, Batas MAW continues to expand its commercial vehicle network across Nepal, aiming to provide better support to transporters and fleet operators in key regional markets.

Earlier, Batas MAW Commercial Vehicles (BMCV) was honored with the “Overall Best Distributor – South Asia” award by Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles. The recognition was announced at the VECV International Annual Dealer Conference 2025 held in Malaysia.
