KATHMANDU: Automobile distributors in Nepal are preparing to launch multiple new car models as competition in the market continues to grow. With the rising presence of Chinese brands, the pace of new model introductions has accelerated in recent years.
As the first week of February 2026 nears completion, only the Maruti Suzuki Victoris has officially entered the market this year. However, several new models are scheduled to launch in the coming weeks.
SPG Automobiles, the authorized distributor of Omoda/Jaecoo in Nepal, is set to launch the facelifted Omoda E5 by late April. The electric SUV has already recorded nearly 1,000 units in Nepal, and the updated version is expected to feature refinements. However, the company has not yet disclosed its technical specifications.

CG Motocorp plans to introduce Suzuki e-Vitara, the first electric SUV from Maruti Suzuki, shortly after its launch in India. The company has already brought one unit of the e-Vitara to Nepal in August 2025, for testing and display purposes. Sales are expected to begin by late April. CG Motocorp stated that it is expanding EV infrastructure to support the new model.
United Traders Syndicate Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Toyota in Nepal, is preparing to launch the Toyota Hilux Electric by the end of March. The company aims to start its electric vehicle lineup in Nepal with the electric version of its popular pickup truck.
Paramount Motors, the official distributor of MG in Nepal, is also set to launch the new MG S6 SUV by April. The MG S6 will be positioned above the currently available MG S5 and will be larger in size.

Cimex Inc., the authorized distributor of BYD in Nepal, is introducing the Denza brand to the Nepali market. The company is preparing to start sales of the Denza D9 from March. A new Denza showroom is currently under construction at Naxal, Narayanchaur.
