KATHMANDU: BMW Motorrad has introduced its new Vision CE electric scooter concept ahead of its debut at the Munich Motor Show on September 8.

The Vision CE stands out with a unique design that includes a seat with a backrest, headrest and seat belt, all protected by a roll cage. According to BMW, this setup removes the need for a helmet or protective gear, giving riders a more relaxed and carefree riding experience.

On the design front, the scooter has a traditional-looking front with slim headlamps, a small windshield and auxiliary lights mounted on the roll cage. It also comes with mid-mounted deflectors and a visible metal mesh above the headrest for added safety.

Inside, the Vision CE features a large digital instrument cluster, prominent footrests and a covered charging port. One of its key highlights is a balancing function that allows the scooter to stay upright on its own when stationary.

BMW says the Vision CE carries forward the design philosophy of its C1 scooter from 25 years ago but reimagines it with a modern, emotional design language, offering a glimpse of the company’s vision for the future of urban mobility.
