BYD Sealion 7 launched in Nepal at Rs 7.299 million

KATHMANDU: Cimex Inc., the authorized distributor of BYD in Nepal, has officially launched the new BYD Sealion 7 electric SUV. It is the second electric SUV from BYD to enter the Nepali market. The vehicle was unveiled at an event held today in Kathmandu.

The starting price of the Sealion 7 is set at Rs 7.299 million. The SUV measures 4,830 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width and 1,620 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2,930 mm.

This model is equipped with a 71.8 kWh battery pack. It was first showcased nearly 11 months ago at the NADA Auto Show.

The Sealion 7 is built on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0. It uses the brand’s Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology for better performance and efficiency.

The SUV features an Intelligent Damping Body Control System and Adaptive Suspension that adjusts based on road conditions. It also includes BYD’s advanced DPilot 100 driving assist system. This comes with a 12W ultrasonic sensor, 5 mm wave radar and an 11W omni-view camera.

Inside, the Sealion 7 offers a premium cabin. It includes a 15.6-inch rotating infotainment screen, 128-color ambient lighting, ventilated and massage seats and a redesigned four-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel.

Additional features include voice control, crystal gear selector, NFC keyless entry, 220V laptop charging port, 50W wireless charger, 12-speaker system and a 50-inch AR head-up display. It also comes with an electrochromic sunroof and Nappa leather seats.
