KATHMANDU: Toyota is gearing up to unveil the all-new Hilux on November 10, 2025, as confirmed by a teaser video released by Toyota Thailand.
Reports now suggest that the next-generation midsize pickup truck will also include an electric variant.
According to a report, an electric Toyota Hilux is in development. The publication shared a leaked presentation slide reportedly shown to Malaysian media during the Japan Mobility Show. The slide outlines Toyota’s 12-month product rollout plan.
The presentation features two blacked-out pickup silhouettes, strongly indicating that one could be the upcoming Hilux. Notably, one of the models is labeled “BEV,” Toyota’s abbreviation for Battery Electric Vehicle, hinting at an all-electric version.

This development aligns with Toyota’s ongoing hints about electrifying the Hilux lineup. In 2022, the automaker showcased the Hilux Revo BEV concept an all-electric, two-wheel-drive pickup designed for urban use and short-range communicating.
Based on current reports, the all-new 2026 Toyota Hilux is expected to include a battery-electric variant, possibly featuring dual electric motors and an all-wheel-drive setup, marking a major step forward in Toyota’s electrification strategy.
