KATHMANDU: A safety recall has been announced for Honda vehicles in Nepal. Syakar Trading, the authorized distributor of Honda vehicles, has launched a recall campaign that prioritizes customer safety.
Under this campaign, airbags in Honda models manufactured between 2001 and 2014 will be replaced free of cost. The company said the recall is part of Honda Motor Company Japan’s global safety programme, aimed at preventing potential issues that may develop in older airbag inflators over time.
Syakar Trading has implemented the campaign in Nepal, stating that it is their responsibility to ensure customer safety. The recall covers the Jazz, Accord, CR-V, Civic, City and Stream models. Airbag replacement will be carried out by trained technicians at authorized service centers.
The company has urged owners of the affected models to verify whether their vehicle falls under the campaign and to contact the nearest service center for an appointment.
