KATHMANDU: The facelifted Hyundai Verna has been launched in India with prices starting at 10,98,400 Indian rupees (ex-showroom).
The updated midsize sedan receives design changes, new features, and additional safety technology. It continues to compete with models such as the Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, and Skoda Slavia.
The new Verna gets a redesigned front bumper with a larger grille and bigger dual LED headlamps. The full-width LED light bar remains but appears thicker than before.
At the rear, the sedan retains L-shaped taillights connected by an LED bar, along with an updated bumper featuring an integrated diffuser element. The car also rides on new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Inside, the sedan offers a driver-focused cockpit with a D-cut steering wheel, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat with memory and welcome retract function, and a 4-way electrically adjustable passenger seat with a segment-first electric walk-in device.
It also includes a Smart Trunk with 528 liters of boot space and a rear window sunshade.
The Verna features dual 10.25-inch displays, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, and an 8-speaker Bose sound system.

Powertrain options include a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine with a 6-speed manual or IVT and a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT.
The sedan also offers over 75 safety features, including Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, a dashcam, ABS with EBD, ESC, TPMS, ISOFIX mounts, and rear parking sensors. The facelifted Verna is available in two new exterior colors.
