KATHMANDU: Himalayan Motrox, the official distributor of Maxus vehicles in Nepal, is preparing to launch the MIFA 7, a premium all-electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), in the domestic market. The car has already arrived at the company’s showroom.
The Maxus brand is owned by Chinese automobile giant SAIC. The MIFA 7 is a compact version of the brand’s flagship MIFA 9 MPV which has enjoyed considerable success in Europe.
Designed for comfort and convenience, the MIFA 7 features a spacious cabin that seats seven people, including the driver. It is equipped with captain seats in the second row. A flat-floor layout in MIFA 7 enhances legroom for passengers, especially in the third row. The car also has 45 dedicated storage spaces for practicality.
The MIFA 7 is powered by a 90 kWh high-energy-density battery, paired with a 180 kW front-mounted electric motor which delivers a WLTP range of up to 630 km on a single charge.
Luxury features in the car include a large panoramic sunroof, electric sliding doors on both sides and leatherette seats. The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable, ventilated, and memory-enabled. Likewise, the car is equipped with a dual 12.3-inch digital displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster, an eight-speaker JBL premium audio system and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. Additional amenities include a wireless phone charger and an in-cabin air purifier.
On the safety front, the MIFA 7 is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including a 360-degree camera, and has features like rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision avoidance assist, lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control.

The car is expected to cost Rs 12.5 million in the Nepali market.
Himalayan Motrox earlier introduced the Maxus eTerron 9, an all-electric pickup truck, in the Nepali market.
