KATHMANDU: SPG Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Omoda, Jaecoo and iCAUR vehicles in Nepal, has appointed Nepal national cricket team captain Rohit Paudel as its new brand ambassador.
The announcement was made during a special event in Kathmandu, where SPG Automobiles also handed over the all-electric Jaecoo J5 SUV to Paudel.
The event also honored existing brand ambassador and national cricket star Dipendra Singh Airee.
The program followed the conclusion of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2, where Rohit Paudel led Lumbini Lions to their maiden title.
He was also named the “Electrifying Player of the Tournament” for his all-round performance.
As part of the recognition, SPG Automobiles announced it will bear the full windfall tax applicable on the Jaecoo J5 awarded to Paudel.
Speaking at the event, SPG Automobiles Director Gaurav Sharda said Rohit Paudel and Dipendra Singh Airee reflect the values of leadership, resilience and innovation that the Omoda & Jaecoo brands stand for.
