KATHMANDU : Range Rover has revealed the first official images of its upcoming all-electric GT, marking a major departure from the brand’s traditional SUV design.
The new model features a low-slung, coupe-like silhouette instead of the boxy styling that has long defined the Range Rover lineup. It will become the fifth model in the brand’s portfolio and is expected to debut after the launch of the flagship Range Rover Electric SUV later this year.
According to Martin Limbert, Managing Director of Range Rover, the GT will be the brand’s “most technologically sophisticated” vehicle and is designed to redefine the luxury grand touring segment.

The GT will be the first all-electric Range Rover to use Jaguar Land Rover’s EMA platform, which was originally developed as a dedicated EV architecture but will also support hybrid models in the future.
Inside, the cabin adopts a minimalist design with a large central touchscreen and a slim digital driver display replacing the conventional instrument cluster. Notably, the interior does away with physical buttons, relying almost entirely on touchscreen controls.
Range Rover has yet to disclose battery and powertrain specifications. However, the GT is expected to use a battery pack exceeding 100 kWh, with an estimated driving range of up to 800 km (WLTP), helped by its aerodynamic fastback design.

The electric GT will be produced at JLR’s Halewood plant in the UK, with production scheduled to begin in the first half of 2027. It will launch initially as a pure electric model, while a full-hybrid version will be introduced later in its lifecycle.
Pricing has not been confirmed. However, the GT is expected to be positioned below the flagship Range Rover Electric, with a starting price of around US$90,000, according to Autocar.
