Tata Altroz ​​facelift gets 5-star Bharat NCAP rating; Punch facelift spotted testing

KATHMANDU: The Tata Altroz facelift has received a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. The hatchback scored 29.65 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and 44.90 out of 49 points for child occupant protection.

In crash tests, the Altroz showed good protection for the head, neck and chest. The car also performed well in side impact and pole tests. For child safety, it received a high dynamic score of 22.90 out of 24 and a perfect 12 out of 12 in CRS installation.

The Altroz facelift comes with three engine options a 1.2-litre petrol, a 1.2-litre CNG and a 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT, and 6-speed DCT.

Meanwhile, the Tata Punch facelift has been spotted testing in India according to Rushlane. The latest images show a redesigned rear with a rounded look, similar to the Altroz and a new taillamp setup that may include an LED light bar.

The front is expected to follow Tata’s new design language, with a full-width LED light bar and headlamps placed lower on the bumper.

The Punch will continue with its 1.2-litre petrol engine, offered with a 5-speed manual, 5-speed AMT and a CNG option.
