KATHMANDU: Tata Motors is preparing a facelifted version of the Punch, with new spy shots suggesting it is close to production.

Two Punch facelift ICE test mules were seen on public roads. The prototypes feature a dual-tone roof and design elements similar to the Punch EV.

At the front, the SUV gets a revised bumper, slimmer LED DRLs, and vertically stacked headlamps. The grille shows new horizontal air intake slits. New alloy wheels are also expected.

One test vehicle was seen with a 360-degree camera, indicating added safety features. Thick black body cladding remains unchanged.

Inside, updates are likely to include a new steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, a 10.2-inch touchscreen, and a revised dashboard. Ventilated seats, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, and Level 2 ADAS may be offered on higher trims.

Power is expected to come from the existing 1.2-litre petrol engine. A CNG option will continue. Gearbox choices will include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.

The Tata Punch facelift is expected to launch in the first half of 2026.
