KATHMANDU: Skoda’s sub-4 meter SUV, the Skoda Kylaq, has officially gone on sale in Nepal at a starting price of Rs 4.59 million. The brand’s authorized distributor, Skoda MAW, is offering the SUV in both manual and automatic variants.
The manual version is priced at Rs 4.59 million, while the automatic variant starts at Rs 5.29 million. The Kylaq sold in Nepal is manufactured in India, where sales began in January 2025.
Built under Skoda’s Modern Solid design language, the Kylaq features a split headlamp setup with LED DRLs, a slim front grille, and defined bonnet creases. The rear gets T-shaped LED tail lamps, while roof rails and body cladding enhance its SUV stance. The SUV measures 3,995 mm in length and comes with a 2,566 mm wheelbase. It offers 189 mm ground clearance and rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the dashboard layout is similar to the Skoda Kushaq. The SUV comes with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, a two-spoke steering wheel, and automatic climate control.

The top variant adds features such as a single-pane sunroof, keyless entry, wireless phone charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, and leatherette upholstery.
In terms of safety, the Skoda Kylaq has secured a 5-star rating in Bharat NCAP. It comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control, and an Electronic Differential Lock.

Powering the SUV is a 1.0-liter TSI three-cylinder turbo petrol engine from the Volkswagen Group, producing 115 bhp and 178 Nm of torque.
It is paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds.
