KATHMANDU: Mercedes-Benz has launched the updated V-Class luxury MPV in India at an ex-showroom price of 14 million Indian rupees. The 2026 model is a facelift of the V-Class previously sold between 2019 and 2022. It comes with revised styling, additional features, and a new petrol engine option.
Globally, the luxury MPV is offered in Standard, Long and Extra Long wheelbase versions. However, the Indian market receives only the Extra Long Wheelbase configuration. The vehicle will be locally assembled at Mercedes-Benz’s Chakan plant in Pune, with deliveries expected to begin by the end of March.

The India-spec model comes standard with the AMG Line exterior package. It features a large black radiator grille with horizontal slats and the signature Mercedes three-pointed star at the center. The front badge integrates a camera, while an LED light strip runs along the grille and daytime running lamps.
The MPV is equipped with multi-beam LED headlamps with High Beam Assist Plus. Each headlamp uses 84 individually controlled LEDs that automatically adjust the beam to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic. The front bumper also includes AMG-style air vents and a slim split air intake.
In terms of size, the V-Class measures 5,370 mm in length, 1,928 mm in width, and 1,880 mm in height. It rides on a 3,430 mm wheelbase, making it the longest wheelbase among Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles offered in India.

Powered sliding rear doors allow easy access to the cabin. The MPV also features body-colored door handles, silver roof rails, and 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with 245/45 section tires.
Other exterior features include a laminated green-tinted windshield, an electrically operated tailgate with separately opening rear glass, slim LED tail lamps, and a 360-degree camera system with Active Parking Assist. The vehicle also uses 12 ultrasonic parking sensors placed across the front and rear bumpers.

The spare wheel is mounted underneath the body to free up cabin and luggage space. The MPV is available globally in five exterior colors.
In India, the model will compete in the luxury MPV segment with vehicles offered by Toyota and Lexus. Demand for chauffeur-driven luxury vans has been increasing in the market in recent years.
The updated V-Class also becomes the first market globally to receive Airmatic air suspension. The system is designed to improve ride comfort and maintain stability under different load conditions.
